Our packages aren't based on hours. We're focused on creating amazing wedding days, not adding up how much time you use. Our reception package starts with cocktail hour and extends until the end of your reception (or 11pm - whichever comes first).

✅A real DJ.

We use the phrase “real DJ” a lot to describe ourselves online. What does that mean? Quite simply it means that it takes talent to be a DJ and we vet and train talent better than anyone. It’s been said often that a DJ that works for us for only a year is light years ahead of a DJ that’s been working for himself for five years (or more). When you book with Mint you’ll not only know who your DJ is, but you’ll work with them to plan the perfect reception during the months that lead to your wedding.

✅Professionalism.

Being a professional can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. To us it means being a full time entertainment company. We reply to emails and calls quickly and we’re fully insured. It also means we invest in the best equipment to ensure that your event sounds and looks great with high-quality sound systems and wireless microphones. We also invest in training our staff and attending industry conferences to stay on top of trends and evolve to stay one step ahead.

✅We’ve got backup.

Things happen from time to time. If a piece of equipment isn’t working correctly we believe the client should never even notice. This means not only having the best equipment in the industry, but also showing up early for your event and thoroughly testing everything. We’ve built redundant DJ systems to ensure that if there’s a hiccup we’ve got a backup ready to go with little to no interruption.

We’ve got an exclusive online planning area that we’ve built from the ground up, we call it #MyMint. We’ve designed our planning tools to help you put together a timeline, must play music and do not play music for your wedding!

When you book with us you get a full contract that guarantees we’re going to show up (and work with you to create a KILLER dance party)!

What you get when you book other DJs.

🚫Time based packages.

Other DJs offer four or five hour packages based around time and even charge extra for things like “idle time”. We prefer to keep it simple and not gauge you with “overtime” fees.

🚫Someone that can play some music.

Other DJ companies book more weddings than they have staff for. This means they go into a hiring frenzy in the Spring months and try to get staff wedding ready as fast as they can. You’re likely to get someone that’s professional and friendly in nature but lacks the talent needed to truly not only rock a party but keep the flow of your reception moving smoothly. Sometimes you won’t even know who your DJ is gonna be until you show up at your own wedding.

🚫Hobbyist or part timer.

When you hire someone that ‘does it on the side” it typically means they’ve got other priorities that are more important than your wedding. This could mean anything from slow replies to emails and calls to flat out cancelling on you. It also could mean that equipment is below par with sound cutting in and out during speeches and toasts.

🚫Something’s wrong? Yikes.

There’s a good chance a part timer doesn’t have a backup plan. We’ve even heard stories of part time DJs packing up and leaving weddings halfway through due to equipment failure.

🚫Unorganized and unprepared.

Sadly there are a lot of DJs out there that are super cookie cutter and get by doing the same schtick they’ve been doing for years. This means that whatever your vision is for your big day goes by the wayside.

🚫Verbal agreement.

With other DJs you’re likely going to get a verbal agreement or if you’re lucky some sort of email confirmation.
